Traveling to Columbus

By Air

John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) is serviced by all of the major carriers (American, United, Delta, Southwest, and Air Canada) as well as the discount carrier Frontier.  A moderately-sized airport, John Glenn Airport is reasonably easy to navigate, though large enough that flyers should adhere to the recommended 1-2 hour early arrivals for departures in order to get through security. http://flycolumbus.com

Downtown Columbus is located at the intersection of Interstates 70, Interstate 71, State Routes 23 and 33 – making travel convenient from many directions.  Campus can be accessed from either I-71 or State Route 315.  Addresses for common destinations are listed below for those using GPS.

Parking on Campus

  • For those wishing to park a vehicle on campus, there are two options. Here is a parking map for campus: http://osu.campusparc.com/docs/default-source/maps/campus-parking-map.pdf?sfvrsn=67.
    • Surface Lot parking:  Park in any campus surface lot with unlimited come-and-go for $7.75 per calendar day. These permits are digital and tied to the license plate of the vehicle. If you know the license plate of the vehicle, you can purchase the permit directly through OSU’s CampusParc prior to arrival.  (https://osu-campusparc.nupark.com/portal/Account/VisitorLogin)
    • Garage Parking: Single Exit Passes are $9.75 These passes are good for a calendar day. They do not allow in-and-out privileges but rather are for a single exit from the garage.  If your car is left in the garage for multiple days, multiple passes would be required to exit.  You will need to order a specific number of passes when registering for the conference.
    • For guests of the Blackwell Inn only: The Blackwell offers valet garage parking for $18 per day with unlimited in-and-out privileges.  For self-parking, there are both campus garages and campus surface lots adjacent to the hotel.  Please see each option above.
