DESCRIPTION: Reports to: Chair of Natural Sciences and Dean of Mathematics & Natural Sciences Classification: Faculty Status: Defined term (non-tenure track), 10 month appointment This faculty position will teach biology courses, including general biology for non-majors, organismal biology for majors, and other courses related to employee’s disciplinary expertise. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Master’s degree in biology or related field; along with college-level teaching experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: For the Academic Year 2017-2018, teaching assignments include lecture and laboratory sections of NS111-Introduction to Biological Science and Bio120-Organisms & Evolution. Other courses related to employee’s disciplinary expertise may be assigned. This position is focused on teaching; it does not require other faculty duties such as advising, committee work, and recruiting. Thirty (30) workload units, representing a 5/5 two-semester teaching load are expected.
