What are labs looking like for you next year?

I'm on a steering committee at my university for setting guidelines for biological and physical science lab courses within the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm curious, what are you all hearing about biology labs next fall? My large university is adamant that face to face instruction will happen in the Fall, but lab courses will be a hybrid format (significantly reduced number of students in the labs, fewer labs per semester, possible shorter lab periods, along with learning material online to cover learning objectives not covered due to social distancing constraints). This will be a huge challenge, and will likely not be a great learning format. Part of me thinks that moving fully online might be easier to prepare, easier for students to follow, will do a better job of meeting learning objectives, and clearly will be a safer alternative to hybrid instruction. The course I coordinate has 46 sections and 1,200 students in the Fall. What are you all hearing? Thanks.
