Position Summary

Under the supervision of the division director, associate dean, and/or Dean, Instructional Affairs, the Instructor teaches students according to established policies and procedures to provide competent and effective classroom and laboratory instruction at varied times and places based on student demand.

SALARY: Based on education and experience commensurate with Salary Schedule D-1 IA  for 9 months (range: $44,780 – $87,562).  Additional salary for summer employment (D1 IA for 3 months $13,825 – $27,081).  Summer employment is contingent upon student enrollment and the needs of the College. Higher education could earn placement on a higher salary schedule.

ANTICIPATED START DATE: AUGUST 14, 2023

This position will be based initially at Wallace in Dothan, Alabama.

More than one position in the same job classification may be filled from the applicants for this position should another vacancy occur during the search process.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology or biological related subfield is required.
  • Experience incorporating multi-media instructional techniques into curricula, including instructional technology for web-based teaching and course management utilizing the Blackboard platform is preferred.
  • Experience inspiring and facilitating learning with diverse student populations is preferred.
