Assistant Professor of Biology

The Department of Biology at Morehouse College seeks broadly trained candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2024. Candidates must have an earned PhD and post-doctoral experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: computational biology, plant biology or developmental biology. Preference will be given to applicants with interdisciplinary experience or data science experience (such as bioinformatics and biological modelling). Candidates will be expected to establish a research program that engages with undergraduates, pursue external research funding, and teach both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses, including courses for non-science majors to support the General Education curriculum of the college.
