Saturday Field Trips

S-1 Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival and Tree Tour.  Visit a typical mid-west city festival.  June is strawberry month so sample the strawberry short cake and find a souvenir from the local handicrafts.  Various local groups perform songs, dancing, and music during the day.  We will also stop at the only revolving jail in the country and if time permits, we will visit a local native hardwood woods.  The creek that goes through the woods is also a good place to find fossil crinoids, brachiopods, etc.  You can also see damage done by beaver activity. 
A 45 minute drive from campus.  Time: 9:30 AM-4:30 PM, Cost: $15 plus admission to jail if you choose, lunch on your own.    Link

Meet at the Hawkins Registration Desk for both June 10 Crawfordsville strawberry festival, trees, 9:30 AM-5 PM, $15 + admission fees


S-2  Indianapolis Attractions:  Art Museum, Butterfly House, Lilly House, White River State Park, and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art.
