On Campus
We have a block of rooms reserved in the Piñon Residence Hall off of University Avenue and located on the Main Campus. Piñon Hall is one of our newer dormitories and has just recently been opened to professional conferences (no basketball/ cheerleading camps will be dorming with us!) Rooms rates are subject to change but will be approximately $31.00 per night for single occupancy and $27.50 per night for double occupancy.
Note: A. Beds in the dorms are quite tall (45 inches / 114 cm). If you anticipate having difficulty climbing into a tall bed may we suggest a local hotel. B. We have been told that the pillows and bedding are a bit sparse so you may wish to supplement.
Off Campus – Within Walking Distance
There are several hotels near NMSU. However, we recommend the Sleep Inn and the Comfort Suites located to the Northeast of Campus. The Sleep Inn and the Comfort Suites are approximately 10-15 minutes walking distance from Foster Hall, and we have reserved a block of 25 rooms at each hotel under the name ABLE for $75-80 a night.
Off Campus – Elsewhere
If you prefer to stay somewhere other than Piñon Hall or the surrounding hotels, there are a number of hotels further in town, but still within a 10 minute drive. We have a few bed & breakfast options including the Alameda House and others. Most locations off NMSU campus will require a car.
