On Campus
We have a block of rooms reserved at Hotel Alma (www.hotelalma.ca), which is our recently opened on-campus hotel. Each Euro-style room includes a queen-size bed, a washroom, a 32-inch flat screen TV, a mini-fridge, a microwave and coffee maker, a desk with ergonomic chair, a Wi-Fi connection and an MP3 clock radio. The room rate includes continental breakfast in Bistro Alma (located inside the hotel), local and long distance phone calls (within Canada and USA excluding Alaska and Hawaii), wired/wireless internet, and access to the University of Calgary fitness facilities. Each room is available for $118/night plus 5% GST, 4% Alberta Tourism Levy and 3% Destination Marketing Fee.
We also have a block of rooms reserved at Yamnuska Hall, which is our newest residence hall on campus. This residence hall offers 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartments, and has a Starbucks store in the foyer. In the 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments, the individual bedrooms lock. All types of apartments contain double beds and have a bathroom, wet bar, microwave, fridge and breakfast table. Linens are included with the rental at no extra charge and basic daily housekeeping is provided. Linens will be changed every 3 days. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included. Two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom apartments are available from $49.50 per bedroom per person plus 5% GST and 4% Alberta Tourism Levy.
We also have a block of rooms reserved at Rundle Hall. Each room in this residence hall includes two single beds, desks, dressers and mini-fridge. Washroom and shower facilities are shared by gender with other guests on each floor. Basic daily housekeeping is provided. Linens will be changed every 3 days. Televisions and phones are not provided for these rooms. There is a TV in a common lounge on floors 2 through 7. These rooms are available for $25 per night per person (based on shared accommodation; $50/night if you prefer not to have shared accommodations) plus 5% GST and 4% Alberta Tourism Levy.
Parking
Hotel Alma has parking available for guests in the Arts Parkade at the University of Calgary. The current charge is $8/day. In and out privileges are available for those who bill their parking charges to their guest room. Parking passes need to be obtained from the Front Desk prior to parking. Parking rates are subject to change without notice. Parking for Yamnuska and Rundle Halls is available at lots 48 and 49, located in close proximity to Yamnuska Hall. The current charge is $8/day. Off campus
The following hotels are located nearby: Comfort Inn & Suites University, Best Western Village Park Inn, and Hampton Inn and Suite – Calgary University. There is regular public transit service (through light rail transit or “LRT”) between these hotels and the University of Calgary campus. In fact, the campus is located only one stop away from these hotels. Please book directly with these hotels.
