Shenandoah University’s College of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

This full-time, career-contract position will involve teaching introductory biology (cell and molecular focus) and other core courses within the Biology curriculum. Preference will be given to those with a background in disease ecology. The successful candidate will describe elective courses they would develop to enhance or complement the department’s strengths. New faculty are expected to expand our ability to provide research opportunities to undergraduates. An on-campus, in-person presence is expected.

The minimum requirement is a Ph.D. in the biological sciences completed by the appointment date (August 2023).  Experience teaching biological sciences is strongly preferred. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
