The list of events and their locations are considered tentative and will be finalized closer to the conference.
Opening Reception
The Opening Reception will be hosted in the newly opened Beaty Centre for Marine Biodiversity, directly attached to the LSC. The museum showpiece is an 18-meter suspended blue whale skeleton.

Poster Session
The Poster Session is scheduled to run in Prince Hall on either Wednesday or Thursday evening. This venue serves as the dining room for the University of King’s College, adjacent to the main Dalhousie campus (just a 2-min walk from the LSC).
We are planning to run the poster session as a traditional Nova Scotian kitchen party (i.e. food and live music!). Prince Hall will easily accommodate posters, and dancing, if we choose! (Participants at the 2010 Halifax ABLE meeting will remember this band from our Final Banquet celebrations!)
Business Meeting
The Business Meeting will be held in Alumni Hall, also part of King’s College, immediately adjacent to this building.
Conference Banquet
There are many options for the Friday Banquet. Ideally, we will plan for an event in downtown Halifax or Dartmouth such that no additional transportation is required. Our first choice venue is the 1820 Alexander Keith’s Historic Brewery.
